Streamlining Excellence:
Elite Systems Aids Warrington Hospital
with a Simplified Solution

Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Trust (WHH) required a simple modular building firstly for storing beds, though the eventual plan is to turn it into a doctor’s recreational room. We were just the ticket to complete the work.

The Hospital

Warrington Hospital is a busy specialist NHS care facility near Manchester that focuses on A&E care, maternity services, stroke and cardiac units, and provides expert care for those undergoing complex surgery pre and post operation. As a result of an increase on demand for space, the Trust required a versatile storage space solution and approached us to carry out the design, manufacture, installation, and site works.

The Plan

The WHH Trust advised the installation was to be built on a small footprint at the rear of the Warrington Hospital grounds. Initially to create more space for storing beds, the plan is to potentially convert the room into a doctor’s mess hall when the beds are reallocated. It was more feasible and environmentally friendly to do this as one building project.

The Results

Our team is able to scale up and down our efforts on any project. We built a 10.2 x 9m building complete with lightning, sockets, and several windows to let in natural light that, whilst unessential for a warehouse, future planning led to these inclusions and so the space is ready for repurposing.

You may be wondering at the shield ‘wallpaper’ in the below photograph, but this is actually the protective film on the paneling that will be removed when the room’s purpose changes from warehouse to a welcoming breakout area.

Their Thoughts

When speaking with Michael Lomas, WHH NHS Trust Estates Officer, he advised “I cannot fault any of the journey with Elite Systems. I thoroughly recommend them for modular buildings due to their professionalism, their speed of replying at the start of the journey, and then the final installation was faultless.”

Our Thoughts

Craig Senior, a Senior Contracts Manager for Elite Systems GB, offered “We are delighted to see Mike and Lee’s satisfaction with the final build at Warrington Hospital. The delivery process was relatively smooth, and our coordination with the hospital staff greatly aided in planning the site access. It brings us great joy to have successfully accomplished this project.”
