Staff Spotlight: Hannah Potter
Marketing Executive with a love of The Arts

As 2023 draws to a close, we’re putting the spotlight on our marketing executive, Hannah Potter – a thespian to the core.

Hannah joins Elite Systems GB to be our first point of contact for all things marketing-related, with a dash of internal comms thrown into the mix.

She started her marketing career in 2018 while working in the insurance software industry, and has picked up the modular construction ball and run with it, learning about the sector.

Building on her previous years in a marketing team, she values the work of our external agencies to showcase all of the work we’ve done and will do in the decades to come.

Hannah is one of the few people at our company who wasn’t born and raised in ‘The North’; born in Essex, raised in Lincolnshire, graduated at Sheffield Hallam University, she’s moved progressively north and with that comes different nuances. One of our longest relationships is with Essex Council with furnishing many schools in the county, and it seems Serendipity called: during Hannah’s final year of university in 2013, we provided two buildings for her Collegiate Campus in the Steel City, just across the road from where Hannah handed in all of her assessments for her three-year degree.

A theatrical family

Outside of marketing, Hannah has worked with local drama societies, including in Dolly Parton’s 9-5 musical at Victoria Theatre, Halifax, and currently rehearsing for Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame at Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield.

Theatre and a love of music stems from her family. Growing up with a costume-designing mother and an events DJ father, melded her into the hybrid of choir member and thespian that we know today. Her roots in acting go back even further as her grandfather was an extra in the film The Bridge on the River Kwai, which she was able to visit the set in September 2023.

Looking back on her first year with us, Hannah advised:

“It’s been great working with the directors of Elite Systems to improve our brand awareness and making the most of building on new and existing relationships with agencies and customers. Seeing how a module goes from a literal steel flat-pack at the factory to being fully installed is fabulous and seeing the whole journey makes it much easier to tell our story. The diverse uses for our modular buildings inspires me to keep thinking in and outside of the modular box (pun entirely intended). The flexible working policy allows office staff to work part-time from home, and the values of a work-life balance was a major incentive to joining the team – it has allowed me to spend time caring for a young puppy who is now fully grown and to worry less about commuting.”
