A cornerstone of our community
For decades, Elite Systems has been a steadfast presence in Cleckheaton, Yorkshire, demonstrating a deep commitment to our community and its people. Our business is more than just manufacturing; it’s about building lasting relationships and contributing to the local economy.
At Elite Systems, our employees and the local community are at the heart of everything we do. We believe in building strong, sustainable relationships that benefit both our business and the people around us.
We believe in the power of local partnerships.
By choosing to invest in and spend within our community, we’re not just supporting businesses, but creating a thriving local ecosystem. Our commitment to sourcing materials from local independent suppliers ensures that our success directly benefits our neighbours.
We are proud to support local businesses and suppliers. From raw materials to office supplies, we prioritise working with companies within our community. By doing so, we contribute to the overall economic health of the area and strengthen our position as a trusted community partner.
Our projects enrich the local economy.
We source over 10% of project materials locally, including aggregates, concrete, and timber. Furthermore, during project executions, our staff and subcontractors contribute 3-5% of contract values back into the community by patronising local hotels, shops, and restaurants.
Our workforce is primarily composed of local residents. We believe in providing employment opportunities for our neighbours and contributing to the overall well-being of our community. By hiring locally, we not only support families but also foster a strong sense of belonging among our employees.
We employ people from the area, with some living just steps from our factory.

Giving back and building a sustainable future
Giving back to the community is a core value at Elite Systems. We actively partner with local charities to support important causes and make a positive impact. By collaborating with organisations that address community needs, we demonstrate our commitment to social responsibility and building a stronger community.
Some of our charity partners
- We partner with a local charity, The Howarth Foundation, and their building business futures programme.
- We also part fund one of their client support staff, Carl Hedley, a recovered drug addict who is helping others in a similar situation turn their life around.
- We also recently supported Mind in Bradford, the mental health charity, who in turn will be coming to site later in the year to do some mental health awareness training.
We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and achieving Net Zero accreditation. By adopting sustainable practices and investing in clean technologies, we are working towards a more sustainable future. Our efforts to minimise our carbon footprint align with our overall goal of being a responsible corporate citizen.
Our Achilles Carbon Reduce certification demonstrates our commitment to reducing GHG emissions.
Enhancing our commitment to sustainable practices, our factory operations are powered significantly by solar energy, reducing our dependence on non-renewable power sources. Complementing this, we promote sustainable transportation by utilising electric and hybrid company vehicles, complete with charging facilities at our headquarters.
We believe in building a business that can thrive for generations to come. Our focus on sustainable business growth ensures the long-term viability of our company and its positive impact on the community. By balancing profitability with environmental and social responsibility, we create a solid foundation for future success.
At our local factory in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, we meticulously craft each project with at least 95% completion before transport. Adhering to our robust Environmental Policy, all materials are responsibly sourced, consistent with our ISO 14001 accreditation. These practices underscore our unwavering dedication to reducing environmental impact and fostering sustainability.
Financial independence
Our financial independence provides us with the stability and flexibility to make long-term investments in our business and our community. By avoiding reliance on external funding, we maintain control over our strategic direction and can respond quickly to market changes.
Our new factory will be located within the same town, so that we can maintain the current workforce, despite the obvious financial benefits of moving to east Yorkshire. Both the business and our staff spend money with local businesses. When procuring materials, we always look to work with local independent suppliers, whether on-site or in the factory.
At Elite Systems, we're more than just a business. We're a community partner, an employer of choice, and a responsible corporate citizen. We're proud of our history and excited about our future.
