My first four weeks at Elite Systems

Well, what a whirlwind the past few weeks have been! I’m delighted to introduce myself as Marketing Manager for Elite Systems.

From day one, I’ve felt welcomed by the team and have appreciated everyone’s willingness to share their time and insights. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been getting up to speed on all things modular, reviewing past campaigns, and learning how things are done here at Elite. It’s clear the business has a strong foundation and a great story to tell, and I’m looking forward to helping bring that to life through our marketing.

From print to modular: a new chapter

You might be thinking, “Marketing modular buildings is a bit of a shift!” And you’d be right. But while the product might be new, the principles of strategic, impactful marketing remain the same.

Before joining Elite, I spent four years as marketing manager at UFP (UK) Ltd, one of Europe’s largest distributors of print and IT supplies. There, I led multi-channel campaigns, managed MDF budgets, built vendor relationships, and oversaw marketing across both B2B and B2C divisions.

I’ve also held a marketing role in the mental health and wellbeing sector, where I led brand and website development, content strategy, and digital channel management. Prior to that, I was head of marketing for a group of privately owned businesses spanning a nursery, a hotel, and a telecoms firm—managing everything from team leadership and campaign planning to creative output and brand consistency.

I originally started my career as a graphic designer working in creative agencies, which gave me a strong design eye and a hands-on approach that’s shaped how I’ve worked ever since.

Having worked across a range of sectors, I’ve learned how to understand different audiences and tailor messages that resonate. My cross-sector experience gives me a fresh perspective as I step into modular construction and will help me spot opportunities to connect with customers, simplify messaging, and tell the Elite story.

Early observations

One thing that’s quickly become clear is how versatile and valuable our buildings are—whether it’s expanding school capacity with additional classrooms and SEND spaces, supporting healthcare providers with clinical units and consulting rooms, or delivering high-quality offices and gatehouses for commercial clients. The turnkey nature of what we offer genuinely simplifies things for customers, and that’s a message I’m keen to help communicate more clearly and consistently.

I’ve spent time speaking with teams across departments, listening to feedback, and identifying where marketing can add the most value. A key takeaway? We have a brilliant product and a strong service offering, but we’re not always telling our story as clearly or compellingly as we could. That’s something I’m excited to help shape.

I’ll also be focusing on improving the digital journey for our customers, sharpening how we communicate our value across different markets, and working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure marketing actively supports our shared goals.

Looking ahead and final thoughts

I believe great marketing starts with great listening. So right now, I’m continuing to learn, ask questions, and gather insights, while laying the foundations for exciting things to come. My goal is to build on the strong brand Elite Systems already has and create campaigns that reflect our expertise, values, and commitment to quality.

I’m grateful for the warm welcome I’ve received so far—thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to share knowledge and answer my questions!
