With more than 30 years’ experience we have the knowledge and expertise to make your modular building a reality. For an informal discussion on your requirements please complete the form below and one of our team will be in touch.

Our Approach

Speed was a key factor in this project, so 24 hours after the first call, we were on-site with the estates team to determine the parameters of the project.

We collaborated with the hospital throughout, amending the design to suit the needs of the healthcare team, and adapting our manufacturing and fit-out process to ensure a very fast turnaround.

Once the design was agreed, we commenced groundworks on-site, and at the same time the 24 modules that would comprise the ward started rolling through our factory.

The outer shell of the building, as well as the partitioning and wall-linings, were built in the factory, as was the anti-bacterial cladding on the walls of the individual patient isolation rooms, washrooms, and other clinical areas. Once complete to this stage, we transported the modules to Surrey and craned them into position, ready for the internal works to be finished, including mechanical and electrical fit-out and plumbing.

The Results

The modular isolation ward was open and operational within 14 weeks of us taking the call – a fraction of the two-year timeframe traditional building would require. The project was praised for its speed and efficiency in parliament by the secretary of state for health and social care.
